Secure communication

All Securitas Direct alarms are connected to an alarm centre. Traditional intruder alarms communicate with a receiver in the alarm centre via the customer's telephone line. However, this communication link will not work if the telephone line is out of order. Using GSM and GPRS technology rather than the customer's telephone line reduces the risk of sabotage and eliminates the risk of conflicts with other communication systems, such as fax machines and telephone switches.
