Our history
Securitas Direct was founded in 1988 as part of the Securitas group of companies in Sweden. Since then, the company has expanded the business into nine countries: Belgium, Chile, Denmark, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and Spain.The focus throughout has been on developing safety and security services for households and small businesses.
In 2006, Securitas Direct became an independent company listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. In 2008, the company was acquired by private equity group EQT and its shares delisted from the stock exchange. In 2011 Securitas Direct was acquired by the private equity groups Bain Capital and Hellman & Friedman.
